Analytics & Reporting
This page explains the analytics available to store owners, how to interpret key reports, and how to export data for accounting or BI systems.
Dashboards and metrics
- Overview dashboard: high-level KPIs including clicks, conversions, conversion rate, attributed revenue, and payout liabilities.
- Campaign & affiliate breakdowns: drill into which campaigns and affiliates drive the most revenue and highest conversion rates.
Attribution windows and comparisons
- Use 7/30/90-day windows to compare short-term vs long-term performance and to capture delayed conversions from content marketing.
Exports and integration
- Export CSVs for conversions and payouts. Include
affiliate_id,order_id,gross_amount,refunds, andnet_amountfor reconciliation. - Use webhooks or the API for near-real-time integration with external BI tools.
Reporting best practices
- Reconcile attributed revenue monthly with Shopify sales to confirm attribution accuracy.
- Keep a regular cadence for review (weekly top affiliates, monthly reconciliation) and announce top performers to engage affiliates.
Developer notes
- Provide consistent timestamps (UTC) in exports and APIs to simplify cross-system joins.
- If using multiple stores, include
store_idin every record to allow per-store aggregation.
Good analytics practices help scale the program by focusing investment on high-return campaigns and affiliates. Important metrics and definitions
- Clicks: total recorded visits from affiliates.
- Conversions: orders attributed to affiliates.
- Conversion rate: conversions divided by clicks.
- AOV (average order value): total revenue divided by conversions.
Exporting and scheduling
- Use the Export CSV button on any report for offline analysis.
- Schedule daily or weekly exports to your email or an S3 bucket for automated bookkeeping.
Using reports for action
- Identify affiliates with high clicks but low conversions - provide better creatives or landing pages.
- Monitor sudden spikes in conversions for possible fraud and open a dispute if needed.
